Your tasks:
Conduct corrosion/environment test or other material test in internal lab and also arrange external lab resource to meet test demands from BUs based on ZF and customer spec.
Iinterpret the results, report on findings and identify corrective actions required.
Arrange suitable tests to make failure analysis of problem parts and to suggest corrective actions.
Provide technical support to engineering department in new supplier/material/process development and material/process selection.
Support BU engineering to communicate with customer in material field.
