Corporate Unit: Schenker China Ltd., Shenzhen Branch
Location: Shenzhen
Reporting to: Ocean Head – South Ocean
Staff Responsibility: More than 10 direct report staff and nearly 100 members in the team
2 General Description
Leading and managing the team of customer service agents and operations to ensure high quality service in line with company policy and operation standards.
Optimizing the SOP and resources allotment as well as controlling the cost to achieve the department profit target.
3 Specific Accountability
85 Monitor the daily operation to ensure proper and prompt implementation of customized SOP’s for selected customers.
85 Set up and monitor “Key Performance Indicators” (KPI’s) for all functions in ocean export.
85 Coach and appraise supervisors on their daily tasks with particular emphasis on processes and systems, and achievement of individual and departmental performance targets.
85 Ensure effective audits of shipment files after file closing under commercial and accounting aspects.
85 Provide ocean export related business reports and statistics from Schenker systems and other sources as required by the Management.
85 Ensure the correct and prompt posting of Accounts Payable vouchers.
85 Ensure the timely payment by customers of outstanding accounts receivables according to customer’s credit agreement and company policies – and to involve the Sales department in the collection efforts as needed.
85 Ensure the proper exchange of Original Bills of Lading and Tax Refund Documents against payment of charges due.
85 Identify staff advantages /disadvantages and training needs, jointly develop and co-ordinate training sessions with trainers and conduct training sessions as assigned.
85 Engaged in coordinating/negotiating with shipping lines, main clients and subcontractors.
85 Perform any special duties or projects as assigned by HOD
85 Handle and execute Healthcare/Pharma shipments as per organizational guidelines, customer requirements and GDP Principles.

61 University degree or above
