Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Etching Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing etching processes from scratch, specifically within back end of the line (BEOL) applications. You will be responsible for pioneering new etching processes, optimizing them for manufacturability, and ensuring they meet stringent performance and reliability requirements. This role requires a strong background in materials science, chemistry, and semiconductor processing, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1.Lead the development of new etching processes for BEOL applications, including dielectric and metal etching, starting from initial concept through to manufacturing readiness.
2.Design and execute experiments to establish process parameters, chemistries, and equipment settings for novel etching processes.
3.Collaborate closely with process integration, design, and equipment teams to develop robust etching solutions tailored to advanced packaging applications.
4.Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during process development and scale-up.
5.Document process development activities, including experimental design, results, and process flow descriptions.
6.Support technology transfer activities by providing detailed process knowledge and training to manufacturing teams.
7.Stay abreast of emerging etching technologies and materials relevant to BEOL process innovation.
8.Ensure all development activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
